I've been building my second mt. bike for a couple of months now and it feels like a long time coming. Many drunken nights wanting to lie down next to it in hopes that--when finished--it won't steer me wrong. Since I had purchased this frame, my brain wouldn't stop thinking of the many brands and parts needed to complete the project. My quest was to find the right parts at the right price. And during my search, I found almost everything I needed at Jenson USA (www.jensonusa.com). Jenson has great customer service and return policy. I almost purchased the whole bike from them. I did grab some things at "Valencia Cyclery" and "Heavy Metal Bike Shop", our local stores, which did the trick for the last minute details.
Well as of January 30th, 2011, 1:14pm, she was finally done. The first ride was at 3:00pm and all the anxiety of the many bolts torqued or misalignment was short lived as i pedaled down Valencia street..... destination: Golden Gate Park.
